These are some sketches I have done based on the horizon line, ground line and vanishing point. They are rough sketches of furniture I found around my house and a building on campus.
I am from Gig Harbor, WA a little city on the outskirts of Tacoma. My dad studied architecture in college and my mom studied interior design, so obviously, I am following in their footsteps. I am a student at Washington State University, studying interior design. I am currently a sophomore, but I have switched majors so many times I am a year behind in the program.
Growing up I knew I wanted to be a verterinarian, that was until I job shadowed one and realized how much I really hated the idea of low pay, long hours and lots of "messes." It wasn't until my sophomore year of college that I realized I wanted to do what was always right in front of my face. Both of my parents went to WSU, my dad graduated with a major in architecture, and my mom graduated with a major in interior design. I had always enjoyed following my mom around and watching her work, and now I've decided that interior design is exactly what I want to do as well. I have been to Europe multiple times, as my dad has lived there twice. When visiting London I fell in love with the city. I hope to live there one day, and everything I do until then will be working towards that goal.
